# Climate Change Resilience Fee 2025

We would like to point out that it is essential to consult your accounting department about the changes concerning your property and activate the new Resilience Tax in the Hotelizer PMS.

Based on article [24 of Law **Ν.5162/2024**](https://www.aade.gr/sites/default/files/2024-12/%CE%9D%205162%202024%20%CE%A6%CE%95%CE%9A%20198.pdf), the amount of the **Climate Resilience Fee** must be implemented starting from <mark style="color:red;">**01/01/2025**</mark>**.** According to this article, the fee is imposed per day and per room or apartment in primary hotel accommodations, excluding those in architectural heritage buildings, youth hostels, and camping sites. The rates vary depending on the category of the accommodation, aiming to support sustainable development and resilience to the climate crisis.

Specifically, for accommodations, it is provided

**From April to October, as follows:**

## **Implementation instructions for hotelizer PMS**

For your convenience, **we have automatically** created the new entries for the Resilience Fee for 2025, <mark style="color:red;">but they have NOT been activated yet</mark>, allowing you to <mark style="color:red;">verify the accuracy of the fee amount before</mark> **activation**. **A total of 4 entries for the Climate Tax should appear (2 for 2024 and 2 for 2025 onwards). If you do not see the new entries for the 2025 fee or encounter any difficulties in implementing the changes, please contact us.**

To activate the new Resilience Fee, you need to follow the two steps outlined below, through which the existing Resilience Fee will be deactivated and the new one activated.

## Step One: Update on the Existing Resilience Fee

1. Go to the tax settings: **Settings → Financial → Taxes**.
2. There, you should locate the **two entries** for the Resilience Fee that pertain to the previous period and are applicable from **01/01/2024**.
3. Next to the **Resilience Fee**, **click the three dots and select Edit, or click anywhere on the tax line.**

4. Fill in the date **31/12/2024** in the **TO** field, as shown in the photo below.

5. Click **Update Tax**  to apply the changes to the tax.

Attention! You must follow the same procedure for both registered periods.&#x20;

(November - February and March - October)&#x20;

## **Step 2: Registration of the New Resilience Fee**

Enter the **new Climate Tax** by following the steps below:

1. **Go to the tax settings: Settings → Financial → Taxes**&#x20;
2. There you should find the **2 entries f**or the Resilience Tax that apply to the next period and are effective from **01/01/2025**.
3. Next to the **Resilience Tax, click the three dots and select edit, or click anywhere on the tax row**
4. Fill in the **VALUE** with the amount applicable to your property for the **FROM MONTH - TO MONTH** field that you see.
5. Click on the **ACTIVE** indication to change it to **YES.**
6. Click **Update Tax** to apply the changes to the tax.
7. Proceed with updating the **second period** by following the same steps.

Attention! In the 'VALUE' field, enter the amount as it applies to your accommodation. If the amount contains a decimal, it is essential to use a period (.) and NOT a comma (,).

The final view you should have is as follows (With the amount corresponding to your property).

* Proceed with registering the second period by following the same steps.

Please note that the reservations will be automatically updated with the amount of the new fee. A short period of time is required for all of them to be updated.
